Chaghorzai Jirga not satisfied with material used in road BUNER: The Jirga members of tehsil Chaghorzai, have expressed dissatisfaction in the quality of materials used in construction
of twenty four kilometer Shaheeda Sar to Martoong with heavy cost rupees 750 million and demanded of the top bosses to initiate
an enquiry in the larger national exchequers. Talking to this correspondent here at Daggar the Jirga members-Mujahid Khan,
Hijabullah Khan, Irshad Alam Khan, Abdur Rashed, Reman, Abdul Hameed and Farhad disclosed they were time and again identified
the gross root irregularities at various forums even the concerned workers and engineers but all in vain. They exposed that
the quality of the material was extremely substandard when observed ditches on the road with growth of wild gross it. They
elaborated that cracks were appeared the blacktopped portion, while the small bridges were bent before its time. They went
on to say that the road was 18 feet blacktopped with wide side paths and meant to be used for promotion of tourism, economic
status of far remote mountainous region as it not only linking the two districts of Buner and Shangla Par rather Peshawar
to China boarder via Shahrahi-Risham but the negative approach of the contractors with the aim to earn more than routine-
ruined the sweet dreams of the new generation. They further said that when the date of completion was on head to hand over
the road to concerned department the higher authorities must heeded the genuine concern of the Jirga and pave a visit to personally
observe before finalizing the deal at the hands of those were already hands in glove just to fill own pocket at the cost of
public exchequers.
