Status of province sought for Malakand By Our correspondent BISHAM: Pakistan Awami Party (PAP) President Fanoos Gujjar Wednesday said that people of Malakand
division rendered great sacrifices for the country so the government should give provincial status to the division.
Addressing a press conference at the Bisham Press Club, the PAP president said time had come to end the disparity the people
of Malakand division were facing by giving the status of the province to the division.
Fanoos Gujjar also demanded
of the government to provide 100 per cent electricity from Khan Khwar, Alai Khwar and Dober Khwar Hydel projects to local
area, saying that rest should be shifted to National Grid as most parts of Shangla, Kohistan and Battagram are without power.
He accused both federal and provincial governments of not giving due attention to the development of Malakand, particularly
Shangla and Buner districts and demanded special package for these districts.
