There is no opposing the saying that whenever an incident of violence or terror occurs in any part of India, the whole blame for perpetration is put on our shoulders.

As a result the ongoing process of dialogue and negotiations is sabotaged under a well planned scheme. Every kind of tactics and hurdles are made to cause harm to the process of dialogue and negotiations. All this is done at the behest of India. Because, it does not want to end, all the outstanding issues and conflicts with Pakistan, including the core issue of Kashmir.

While during the prevailing situation it has also stopped the flow of water towards Pakistan in held Kashmir. But what are we doing? We have engaged ourselves in futile issues and are hell bent to protect and safeguard our own selfish ends. That is why the international community too is not ready to accept and listen to our stance. They are even not willing to raise voice in our support.

In spite of all these bitter facts the world is changing fast and new economic zones are taking shapes. European Union, Asian and Shanghai pacts are the precedents before us. In South Asia, SAARC was formed in the decade of 80s to deliberate over the impending issues of neighboring countries. Their priorities were basically international. But the SAARC too did not attain its real objectives after being taken hostage by the Indian hegemonic desire in the region. Actually it was the forum which could be used and exploited to resolve all the outstanding issues and problems being faced buy the member states.
The rest of the world too had attached high hopes from the said forum but unfortunately the rigid stance of the two, India and Pakistan, the importance and utility of the said organisation ceased to exist, even its existence and subsistence has become a question mark. That is why all agree on the point that unless and until the two big partners do not resolve their mutual disputes, the peace and tranquility in the region will remain at stake all the time and no one can guarantee it, which in other words can exert negative impact on the maintenance of international peace as well.
At this juncture it becomes the responsibility of the international community to play their role for resolution of all the bilateral problems and conflicts between the two traditional rivals of the subcontinent. But ironically the international community is also unable to play its due role to persuade the two as they have their own political and economical ends in India. They only motivate India to come to the dialogue table but least bothered to resolve the issues once and for all. As a result India though do come on the table but without yielding any positive results.
There is also no denying the fact that Pakistan has always wished to settle the issues through the process of dialogue. Even it has also extended support in this regard. Recently Prime Minister Yusaf Raza Gilani while meeting with the Indian parliamentary delegation reiterated his government’s stance to continue the process of dialogue in order to resolve all the outstanding issues, inclu-ding the core issue of Kas-hmir which has created discord between the two neighbouring and traditional rivals.
This is also crystal clear that 150 million people living in both the countries want peace and tranquility in this region. In this way they not only wish to seek a decent life for themselves alone but for their posterity as well. But sadly speaking the prejudicial attitude of India is a big hurdle in maintaining peace in the region.
Pakistan has always tried its level best to boost up the mutual cooperation between the two countries in every aspect of life. And for this very reason, it has geared up the process of dialogue. The prime minister has also held meetings with his Indian counterpart in Mohali, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Thimphu.
Unfortunately these meetings did not yield positive and meaningful results for the priorities and objectives of both were different from each other. India wants progress in trade and access to central Asia. It considers that after the restoration of mutual trust and understanding the process of dialogue on the conflicting issues can be spearheaded. While Pakistan stance is that the conflict issues must be done away first all. But in spite of all the existing conflicts Pakistan has not only encouraged and boosted up the trade and economic relations but also cooperated in these measures with India.
In the end it will suffice to say that until and unless the political and geographical disputes are resolved between the two countries, people of the region will remain in disarray in the region. They will be compelled to live in a state of fear and terror. Discredit of all this certainly goes to India which is not sincere in bringing peace in the region and is hell bent on sabotaging the process of negotiations.
