Demo against ad-hoc appointments in edu dept
BUNER/F.P. Report: The CT and SE teachers affiliated with all teachers association here in front of press club in Dagger on Wednesday were staged protest demonstration to register anguish over the decision of ad hock appointment in education department.The protesters were carrying play cards and banners on which slogans against the decision were inscribed.
They were chanting full throated slogans demanding promotion of the teacher’s batch wise. The association leaders Ajmal Khan, Wakil Zada, Mehboob Jelani, Sadiq Akbar, Shakeel Ahmed and Amdali Jan in their speeches feared the education minister was appointing party activists in education with the idea making them permanent which they termed depriving senior teachers of promotion. They state away criticized the minister education for promotion of the idea of ad hoc appointment of the blue eyed and alleged him of minting money. They alleged the minister education was nominated his touts in the education department who are playing role of brokers in dealing with posting, transfer and promotion. They reminded the minister education not to violate the prescribed rules and regulation in promotion of teaching community in the larger national interest. They warned of extension to the demonstrations period and its expansion to rest parts of the district. They termed the decision against the interest of the teachers and vowed they will come on roads with students and children if the advertisement published in this regards is not revoked.Wanted Commander Muhtasim netted in midnight operation: The station house officer Police station Pir Baba Habibur Rehman has claimed arrest of wanted Taliban commander popularly known Muhtasim with his actual name Hakimullah of village Dokada in a mid night operation in between Tuesday and Wednesday.The arrested commander was wanted to police in various heinous crimes including murders of ANP Dokad leader Sarfaraz Khan, Beshonai leader Mohammad Amin Khan and abduction and killing of the chief of Qadir Nagar Trust Tahurul Islam besides ransacking police station Pir Baba during militancy.The SHO confirmed that the said commander was right hand of killed commander Nasseb Zada who was spread fear in the region with camping headquarter in the popular Elam Ghar for quite long before killing by armed forces in encounter.
