I am Zamirkhan and Pre-Eng students from Buner valley,

Internet is the basic source of information in this age u know & more then 90% peoples are using for their personals gains and sharing information worldwide, DSL is installed before in the surrounding district of Buner such as Sawat,Shangla and Swabi district but here( BUNER) in not avilable yet.& here in District Buner valley internet speed is so slow that can catch site, play videos and load data and it is too tedious and boaring network of Ptcl Buner.

Peoples and Students are demanding DSL (digital subscriber line) ,which is the responsibility of Present govt and PTCL authority to provide them.

Even the MNA announced 5millions specially for DSL installation in Buner but the PTCL department are making delaying and presenting different reasons.

So my request as to solve our this issue using your site buner.com,we shall be very thankful to u.

i will answer sitting in the cilli night of sydney watching fifa world cup btw chilli and brazil ,it memorizing me something done by australian (AUSSIE) for patahn. the above mentioned title given by australian auther to pushtoon. accourding to him people say patans (pashtoons) are warriers they have no idea about the world just fighiting,he pick his leggege to know the reality in the form of movie (SON OF THE LION) made by the collebration and cooporation of Australian govt.
bengamin the auther and directer of the movie went to waziristan and made this movie in which main cherecter was played by a small boy and his family.
its a long talk but the owesome and amazaing thing he satisfied from people is the HOSPITALITY of pushtoons.
he came back and made a conference and said they are most hospitalished,simplton,and honourible people i ever seen on earth.

comments: I would like to comment on two things.
No.1: I had the first ever trip of Buner after the recent Army action there. I expected some very unbunery things to see on my way, but to my amazement I could only see those old, and the ever "under-construction" zigzag roads. Well, unbunery things (if i could just think they are able to be called so) started in Rustam with half of the road blocked by an empty frame of masonry work and a police guard there. I wasn't in an Hiace and couldn't see what he was there to check. Next the road at first excellently built but no further than the start of snake-figure of it, the road turned to be that old child's tool of play in the hands of the Govt contractors. ( By now, I had got on a Hiace ) Sorry to see such thing after no less than a 12-month span. It was now as it had been then. Further, the change happened to checkpoint of police in the hills. Strong newly constructed boundary walls, higher on back side. Good to see the protectors of masses seeking protections for themselves. I dunno if they are up to their task. A checkpoint again and then the Ambela check post. The passengers asked to get down and cross the red line in Identity parade style. Thanks to my asleep son Anique in my lap, i found a reason not to get down like them. I saw first signs of Army presence. From Ambela bazar i chanced to see a newly erected tower of a cellular company (couldn't figure out which) and another shorter one (didn't remember if it was there earlier or not). I was expecting to see the bombarded trucks laden with buffaloes in the Baba G Kundow (as the legend goes) but only witnessed another identity parade of the passengers there. Here, i could hear some returning or ex refugees talk about the days there homes in far-flung villages were hit from here and how come they escape the hovering death heralds. I was so much happy to see the marble industry resurrected and cricket being played near the bridge at Cheena and one man sarcastically commenting "Let the Americans know the buneris do this and no more army actions for sure". And even saw a volley ball match going on. Yet another brief security check at the Chanar Bridge and here we come to Swari. Some routes of public transport on strike due to non-adjustment with the masses over issues raising in wake of recent oil price hike. Fortunately, the NCP taxis did exist and I got one. Swari being really wide bazar due to overnight encroachment clearance operation perhaps by the municipality officials. a bit out of swari jurisdiction another stronger army check point. Me so embarrassed as to tell them I was on my way to Swari and they pin pointing to me I had left it behind. But one thing is for sure they seemed pitiable and full of courtesy. Here comes our destination.... I expect to phone my sister and ask about their well-being after their struggle for life and rest in the refuge in Mardan. I really feel it awesome as the No.1 of my post exodus visit to Buner took a bit longer time. I would really sum up the No.2 ASAP.
No.2. One day a young-man came to me four years back when I was in Buner and said if I could take out some time from my schedule to teach his to two nephews who were "good at computer", i quote his words. I really didn't have such time. I simply really couldn't do that but against a staunch insistence from my friend's side i could but only accept his request. That day and today after exactly more than full four years span i happened to read a comment from his side from London on buner.com, he is the real brother of my sister as I mentioned in my last comment on your site. I would be more than thankful to you if you could tell him to gimme his id. I mean no one but Jehanzeb from Bhai Kalay now in London (Perhaps). But not, i am sorry to say, a real buneri spirited guy as he has never ever ever asked a bit about the Pukhtoon to whom he had necklaced the tough task of training his nephews and the real pukhtoon respectful duwas of his own real sister, had he (the man he had requested i.e, me) completed the uphill task successfully. real big cheer to buner.com for giving me a clue of my long lost most wanted friend

First of all I would like to congratulate you on the development of this wonderful website for buner. It really was a great pleasure browsing through your website , I felt so at home when I saw the comments and galleries section. I hope you will continue with this great job of keeping our district on the net.
I visited your "personalities and politicians" page. All of the leaders in there truly deserved to be there however they were all politicians and not a single personality other than related to politics related was there. I would like to recommend to you a person who most probably was the most learned person buner has given birth to . I mean Surgeon Dr. Afzal Khan (late) .Professor of surgery Khyber Medical College. He was the only buneri to have done an FRCS (Fellow of Royal College Of Surgeons, Ireland) and an MD. He also was MSc botany and has written in many medical and scientific journals. But the quality that most distinguishes him is his service of the people of buner. He was the mentor of many doctors of buner . Any patient from buner received the best treatment in his ward at Khyber Teaching Hospital and also used to consult poor patients for free.
I recommend him on your website so as to serve as a role model for all the inspiring youngsters in the streets of every village of buner who want to become doctors and engineers. Please let me know about your thoughts on this.

Migrated families of Buner

Currently the people of Buner and other parts of Malakand division are passing through a painful period in their lives. Thousands of people have migrated toward safer places for shelter. Almost 70 percent population of Buner district has left their homes due to military operation against militants and a majority of the displaced families are living a miserable life in the open, as neither the NWFP government nor the federal government has tried to take the issue seriously.

With the launch of the military operation in Buner and other parts of the Malakand Division, a large number of families started leaving their homes to save their lives.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been rendered homeless. Thousands of families have so far migrated from Buner to Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Mansehra, Abbottabad,Charsadda and Peshawar districts while many of them have moved to cities of Punjab and Karachi metropolitan.

In these areas there is neither provincial nor federal government officials and not a single elected representative has so far bothered to take practical steps for their assistance to help these unfortunate Buneris, except volunteers of local villages. They have set up roadside relief camps to help the fleeing families.

The government has made a blunder by launching operation against militant in Buner without making arrangements for the displaced people in advance. The government should have given sometime to the people to move to safer places before launching the operation.

Several families are still in a fix due to lack of transportation and resources to settle in downtowns. One wonders what would be the fate of property, houses and ripe wheat crop of the people of the affected districts. Now the government should take stern and concrete actions against the militants as well as the operation should be completed in minimum time so that the masses return to their hometowns for recovering their business and earning livelihood.

The worst affected are once again the students especially the student of FA/F.Sc whose exam was postponed. In case the operation is expected to take long time then special arrangements should be made for these students to continue their studies. And special fee concession should be given to them; especially scholarships should be awarded to each and every student of the affected districts.

Please do not call these terrorist Taliban, because Taliban is a word used for Islamic religious students who are struggling in true meanings for Islam and delivers the message to the world that Islam is the religion of peace and prosperity.
Terrorists=Pakistan Army
who are brutally killing and slaughtering the gallant pushtoon nation(Buneries and Swaties), these were the people who stood against Britains before 1947 and gave them tough time. But now?
Who are playing this game with us? Who is backing all this issue of terrorism in the beautiful and peace loving valleys of Buner and Swat. Who are slaughtering the people on the name of so-called Islmaization, even we all agree that this is not Islam, all these things are completely against the Muhammadan and Islamic teachings.
But one thing is clear that how these terrorist got hold of these valleys, in the start of this brutalism only round about 25% area of Swat was under the control of Terrorists but security forces gave them hold of the whole swat in so-called war against terrorism in few weeks, no one can find any causality from Terrorist side nor from Army side but poor civilians and police (from families of the locals) were victimized. Where were these security force when the Bunerians stood against the aggression of terrorist from swat and few Buneries were martyred, still their families are threatened. Terrorist got hold of the whole area in few days, and started recruiting people by force and insulted the notable families of the Area.
Army is now firing on the locals of Buner, heavy weapons are used like Tanks, Gunship helicopters are shelling on villages where people are still praying for their survival.
Why army is doing this thing? All the people have answer of this question but no can dare.
Why they are not killing the terrorist even though they know it better that where are they hiding, they have the whole data.
Now a brief history of pak Army
In 1948, we lost big part of Kashmir because of pak army (but those were starting days Pakistan and army was not strong, we all agree with this excuse). 1965:pakistan army was running back from battlefield but luck favored and survived. Now 1971 we lost Bangladesh because of Army and army men raped 94000 women and girls in Bangldesh which how can a Muslim ignore, and in the same year one lack army personals saluted Indian officers. In 1998 pak army lost Kargil war and was claiming that they defeated Indians. Now they r everywhere in pakistan, soon Baluchistan will be another country or part of another country because of the stupid extreme misuse of the power against Baluchis and holding the revenues (600 billion rupees) of the natural resources which whole country is using from Baluchistan, not only this but Army killed there leaders, they are raping their women and even recently army men had kidnapped 130women from Baluchistan. Soon Buner, Swat and Waziristan will demand another state for themselves or the people will support others against pak army.
In the above context what you people will call Pak Army?
For me (pak army=gangsters & Rapists)
Another angle of army in the history of Pakistan, Dictators, again and again taking over of governments, changing constitutions according to their wishes like the their houses menus, taking money from the UN and other countries for slaughtering Pushtoon nation. and many more questions???? how an army captain can live in banglow of 40kanal worth more than 2crore rupee,on the other hand in Pakistan professors(more in Rank and salary than a captain) is looking for shelters.
Defense housing societies? think and Forward to all Pakistanis to open their eyes what pak army is doing and to tell them that who are real terrorist.

A Concerned Inhabitant of District Buner

To be honest I have visited this site for the first time. It was one of my friends who told me about this site, when I was looking for news about the rising threat of militancy in buner. I found it a very innovative and informative site about our haevenly valley Buner. So I would like to pay great tribute to all of those who have contributed to this great work of developing a website on district Buner. Now I would like to leave a message via your honorable site for the entire populace of our valley.. To be honest my message is about the current rising tension in our peaceful valley because of the so called islamic militants.
We the people of Buner have a very civilized and proud heritage, we have been remain peaceful for decades, we have never indulged in any sort of unlawful or inhumane activity.
We are passing through the crucial period of our entire history, because we are right on the way of getting development. Our young folks is getting educated, our conservative ideologies are changing, we are getting our sisters and daughters to be educated. We have developed a strong faith in women's emancipation and rights. We have developed strong ties with each others, we are far more empathetic with each others than ever before. So we can't afford or let any stumble block to clog our way towards development and success.
It makes me feel proud of our ancestors when I realize that they have gifted us a very enlightened and great pukhtoon culture. Our forefathers were extremly progressive, they have never denied art, poetry and all other essential aspects of a human civilization. I can still remember those sweet reverberating sounds of drums(DOLKAY) at our hujras, on the occasions of our mirrages. Our elders had never kept women in the four walls of their houses. who can deny the fact of having GUDHARS(A place where women used to go and to bring water for their hous hold) at our villages. One can easily recall those seesaws(TALONA) at our graveyards, where the young girls used to go in EID festival.
We should never let this great culture of our ancestors go away off our hands and we should show zero tollerance to all of those who try to grab this great culture from us for the sack of a viscious so called islamic shiria. We pukhtoon as a nation are facing an international conspiracy against us to wipe us out of this planet earth. These all tactic are the parts of that great conspiracy in the name of JIHAD and shiria. In these hard times our only salvage is to remain united and firm against this rising menace of militancy, we should never let each others down and should stand by each others to root out this monster of militancy from our peacful soil of Buner. If we remain dividede on our issues then we will have to face horrible consequences of that and we have recently seen the examples of those consequences in our very neighbouring(District swat).
I bet no one of us would tollerate to see our women to be whiped in front of a mob at our hujras.
At the end of my discussion I would say that it may be possible that some of my buneri brothers may not agree with my ideologies, I beg their pardon if I have hurt their feelings, with giving them a realization that in a civilized society everyone has the right to unfold his feelings. Let me pay again a great gratitude to all of those who have been runing this great site and have provided us with such a nice platform where we can say our mind with freedom.
